Hyva has added two new models and updated two existing cranes in its FFB crane range, designed for agricultural applications.

The new models improve the productivity and efficiency of fruit collection by mechanising a manual process, which reduces the harvest time and makes the whole operation safer and quicker.

“Success with our initial line of FFB Cranes has encouraged us to improve and introduce new models,” said Nicolò Farri, product manager cranes. “In the new cranes we have reinforced the structure, added protection to avoid damage and reinforced the rotation system to make our cranes perfect for heavy duty applications. To date, applications have focused on palm oil harvesting – single fruit, multiple fruit, and bulk material handling. With the new models, we are well placed to expand into harvesting of agave, aloe and other special crops.”

The new models with shorter booms are the HB10S FFB, which has a 0.25tm lifting moment and 330° slewing angle, and the HB50S FFB, which has 4.85tm lifting moment and 380° slewing angle.

The HB11 FFB replaces the HB10 FFB and now has 0.35tm lifting moment and 330° slewing angle. THB16 FFB replaces the HB15 FFB and has 0.81tm lifting moment and 330 °slewing angle. The HB50 FFB remains unchanged with 4.74tm lifting moment and 380° slewing angle

All FFB crane controls can be installed close to the tractor driver and cable controls are available as an accessory.

Last month, Hyva added a 60tm family to its new Edge Line of truck-mounted cranes comprising four models. Read more here: http://www.cranestodaymagazine.com/News/hyva-launches-60tm-cranes-8180693/
