Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane Co. has launched its SCX800A-3 80t hydraulic crawler crane.

The crane features an engine that complies with EU Stage IV and US Tier 4 exhaust emission regulations, as well as an auto-idle stop function and an 'Eco winch' to improve efficiency.

Other benefits include a winch brake with hanging brake pedal designed to offer better control and operability, a range of safety features such as a swing restriction device and swing brake pedal, and a compact body with the smallest rear-end radius in its class, says Hitachi.

The crane also provides a remote sensing system, enabling the condition of the machine to be monitored, minimising downtime and reducing the cost and time required for maintenance.

Hitachi’s SCX800A-3 80t crawler crane improves efficiency and safety while reducing engine emissions to Stage IV/Tier 4 standards.
