German company Würzburger Kranverleih und Bergedienst has added a Liebherr LTF 1045-4.1 truck-mounted telescopic crane on a Volvo chassis to its fleet.

The crane, which has a 35m telescopic boom, was supplied by Liebherr Ehingen and joins an LTF 1060-4.1 and a 20-year-old LTF 1030 in the Würzburger fleet.

Company owner Ibrahim Kücükdag said: "Our LTF cranes cover around 15,000km every year. They are much more economical than conventional mobile cranes over long distances.

"With part ballast the LTF cranes can be licensed exactly like a normal truck. That is a major advantage for our flexibility."

Done deal: (l-r) Georg Wetzel, Armin Scheiner (both from Würzburger Kranverleih); Wolfgang Sailer (Liebherr-Werk Ehingen); Ibrahim Kücükdag, Cane Kücükdag (both from Würzburger Kranverleih); Dieter Walz (Liebherr-Werk Ehingen)
