Hiab has added three new models to its range of high-capacity X-HiPro loader cranes.

The company, part of Cargotec, introduced the X-HiPro 548, 638 and 658 models at the recent BadrijfsautoRAI 2015 exhibition in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The cranes are designed to be fast and easy to set up, while being robust and safe to operate.

Marcel Boxem, director of the heavy range of Hiab's loader cranes, said: "These cranes have been designed for performance. The new hydraulic and electronic systems make control of the cranes smoother, more accurate, and faster than ever before, and the new damping system creates a very stable, gentle performance when lifting.

"Our new control valve delivers much higher oil flows, which gives significant improvements in speed, and the new base design halves the time it takes to set the crane up for a lift."

Sergio Peiró, product manager for heavy range cranes, said: "The 548 and 638 are excellent working at long range, both vertically and horizontally, thanks to the long boom system with optional jib for additional reach.

"The 658 is a short-boom version with an optimised capacity to weight ratio. It is particularly well-suited for heavy lifting close to the truck bed, and allows a heavier payload due to its relatively low weight and compact design."
