Palfinger Marine has launched a new marine crane range at the SMM 2012 international marine industry expo, in Germany from 4-6 September.

The first three models of the new range are on display at the show, it said.

Innovations to the new cranes include new design features, such as maintenance-free sliding elements for enhanced lifetime performance.

The company is presenting a new design for the FLVK control station with modular construction to make the cranes more operator-friendly.

Günter Bauer, Palfinger Marine's head of design, said, "We particularly focused our attention on enhancing the operator-friendliness and ease of maintenance of our marine cranes.

"We have achieved this with the new crane range and its wealth of functional innovations."

Customized engineered solutions, like a PK 150002 M with a two-winch solution, are on display to illustrate the company's ability to respond with greater flexibly to customers' requests in the future.

Palfinger Marine Cranes is also launching a new segment, after sales and service, at SMM.

Palfinger Marine Services specializes in services for marine, wind, offshore and davit cranes, winches and lifesaving equipment.

Services range from annual inspections and maintenance to OEM spare parts and comprehensive service agreements.

Palfinger Marine is also announcing its marine crane prize draw, where contestants will test their crane control handling skills.

The new cranes and prize draw can be visited at indoor booth no. 206 in hall A1 and outdoors at booth A1.FG.008.
