Belluno, Italy-based tower crane manufacturer Recom Moritsch has changed its name to Moritsch.

Managing director Mariano Moritsch commented about the name change: “I started to follow my father when I was probably five or six years old, and since then, I have been fascinated by this world, and by the men who are always trying to reach higher peaks, better performances, simpler and safer erections. These values are still the same in the depth of my heart, even if 50 years have gone by.

“I have been a very lucky man since, because I really always loved what I did and do. Most likely my father made that choice for me and I am so thankful because there was never a moment that I believed I was not in the right place.

"I started to go around the world on my own at the age of 24, to bring abroad the product and the values that I myself, my father, and my family intended as the whole group of people working with us, believed in.

“My family created the third biggest group in tower cranes, and we are all proud of it. But there came a time when I believed that history without a future is simply a story, but with a future it becomes a heritage, a legacy. I took my heritage and wanted to give a different future to all the men around the world that trusted my family in the past and most importantly today, where the product and human relations are at the same high level.

“And this is why today I decided to put my family name in front of everything. Because it is the past, it is definitely the present and it will be the future.”
