Manufacturer Sany has opened its 400,000 sq ft US headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia, and is relocating the firm’s assets to bring all Sany America departments under the same roof.

Personnel have already relocated to the new 60,000 sq ft offices, and Sany America’s first concrete pump trucks due to roll off the production line by the end of 2011.

Crane and excavator production is expected to come online in the first half of 2012, and will be housed in the facility’s 340,000 sq ft manufacturing and assembly area.

Sany America’s manufacturing hall has capacity for up to 1,000,000 sq ft of manufacturing and assembly lines, and the firm’s president, Jack Tang, relishes the prospect of achieving full production capacity.

He said: “We are looking forward to ramping up production in our manufacturing area. By the end of this year, we should have our first concrete pump trucks roll off of our assembly line, and then it will only be a short time before we are producing our cranes and hydraulic excavators as well.

“For the last fourteen months we have pursued an aggressive construction schedule to complete our new manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters. Over the weekend, we moved our company into the new office space, and all of our departments are now under a single roof.”

So far Sany has invested around $60m in the site, and is also planning to open a 150,000 sq ft US parts depot along with a training centre.
