Select Plant Hire has signed a new agreement with Terex Tower Cranes, through which it remains the distributor for the UK but also becomes the distributor for the Republic of Ireland.

The two companies have been working together for 25 years. Over these years many companies have chosen Select Plant Hire and Terex to assist them in building some of the most iconic buildings in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and other major cities.

“The longstanding relationship between Select Plant Hire and Terex has been at the forefront of tower crane innovation. Being able to utlise the knowledge and expertise that Select Plant Hire has as an owner and user of tower cranes to support the continuous product development driven by the Terex engineering team has helped our customers to deliver some of the most challenging engineering projects in the world,” said Alex Warrington, business unit leader at Select Plant Hire.

“We continue to work together to challenge established practices with new developments such as the T-Lift, Terex Power Plus and Telematics. Our shared values on safety, innovation and putting our customers at the centre of what we do, makes this a true partnership and we look forward to our teams working together over the coming years.”

“It’s a very exciting time to be renewing and further strengthening our partnership with Select Plant Hire,” said Lee Maynard, global sales director, tower and rough terrain cranes, Terex Corporation. “The UK and the Republic of Ireland are two strategically important markets for Terex and both present significant opportunities in the next few years. There are some sizable projects due to come to fruition in the coming months and years and we believe our partnership with Select Plant Hire places us in an excellent position to win our share of these.”
