Sennebogen and Manitowoc have agreed a partnership through which the German crane company will produce a series of telecrawlers to be sold by Manitowoc under its Grove brand in North and South America.

The range will comprise three telecrawlers, with maximum safe working loads of 55t, 75t and 130t and sold under the Grove name as GHC 55, GHC 75, and GHC 130. The cranes will be produced at Straubing, Germany, and feature a main boom length of 30.4m on the 55t model, 36m on the 75t model, and 40.2m on the 130t.

As part of the agreement, Manitowoc will provide maintenance, servicing, spare parts and financing, and the equivalent products in the Sennebogen range -- the Sennebogen 653, 673 and 6113 -- will not be offered in North or South America.

Mike Herbert, global product director for rough terrain cranes at Manitowoc, said: "The GHC series is for customers that need a compact, manoeuvrable crane that can face the rigours of merciless terrain. With minimal transport requirements, 100% pick-and-carry ability and a telescoping boom, these cranes will prove very nimble in both getting to and navigating job sites.

"We know that these cranes will become a valuable and versatile lifting tool in a lot of companies' fleets."

Three Grove GHC telecrawlers manufactured by Sennebogen are now being sold by Manitowoc in the Americas.
