Tower crane makes quick work of concrete silo

A solitary Linden Comansa 5LC 5010 tower crane has been used at high speed to construct a 57m-high concrete silo for Votorantim, as it expands its facilities in the town of Nobres, in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil.

Votorantim, Brazil’s biggest concrete manufacturer, rented the crane from official dealer Group Tensor. The 5t capacity crane was erected at a height of 65m, with a jib length of 15m.

Silo construction had to be completed in 25 days, meaning work needed to progress 4cm an hour to meet the deadline. This saw the 5LC 5010 operated at high speed to ensure the successful completion of the job within the deadline.
