Ritchie Brothers to sell largest all terrain in its history
Ritchie Brother Auctioneers has announced that it is selling a Terex Demag AC700 all terrain crane, the largest it has ever sold. The 700t capacity machine features alongside 1,250 heavy equipment items including 25 mobile cranes, at a two-day unreserved public auction in Ocaña and Moncofa, Spain.
Minicrane and derrick team up to replace Sandy crane
Master riggers JV Trucking & Rigging (JVT&R) used a Maeda MC305-2 minicrane and F&M Mafco Timberland derrick to secure and replace the upper section of a Favelle Favco tower crane left dangling over Manhattan by Hurricane Sandy.
FibreMax scores investment for unique synthetic ropes
Synthetic cable manufacturer FibreMax has sold a 25% stake to private equity firm NPM Capital. The manufacturer, which is based in the Netherlands said that it was planning to use the capital injected by its new shareholder, to establish a sales organisation to market the cables to the mining, offshore, building, construction, heavy transport industries and for those carrying out heavy industrial applications.
Boom boost for Manitex revenue in Q1
Boom truck sales and improved commercial activity were the major reasons behind an increase in Manitex’s revenues for the first quarter of 2013. The company reported that net revenues rose 39% to a record $59.6m, compared with $42.8m in 2012. There was a 53% increase in net income to $1.9m up from $1.3m last years figures.
Empire Crane orders Mantis telecrawlers at Bauma
American dealer Empire Crane placed an order at the Bauma trade show in Munich for two 77t Tadano Mantis 15010 telecrawlers. Empire Crane, which is a Tadano Mantis dealer in the northeast United States said it has consistent and growing demand for the Mantis products in its region and has purchased the cranes as additional stock to support its increasing Mantis business.
