Gradito Oleodinamica, a Sicily-based industrial contractor and heavy-lifting specialist, has taken delivery of a new Tadano AC 5.250L-2 all-terrain crane.
The purchase aims to enhance the firm’s capacity for demanding lifting operations across sectors including oil and gas, energy, construction, industrial, and infrastructure.
The Tadano AC 5.250L-2, which features a 79m main boom and a maximum system length of 109m, is intended to support Gradito Oleodinamica in a wide range of projects throughout Sicily.
It is designed for high lifting performance and can accommodate large or heavy components, making it suitable for tasks such as plant construction, industrial maintenance, and complex infrastructure work.
In addition to its lifting capabilities, the model’s five-axle carrier and transport configuration allow for comparatively swift and efficient movement between sites.
The boom can be detached quickly to reduce the total weight to 40t, or 8t per axle, enabling travel on roads with weight restrictions.

The Tadano AC 5.250L-2 is fitted with the manufacturer’s IC-1 Plus crane control system, which optimises lifting capacity based on the actual configuration and slewing angle.
The crane can also be equipped with the Surround View camera system to assist operators with positioning and setup.
Features such as Eco Mode and engine start-stop are included to help reduce fuel use and emissions.

Earlier this month, the Essen Fire Department in Germany added a Tadano AC 4.080-1 all-terrain crane to its fleet after completing a formal tender process.
