The workshop will include sessions on Weather Alert: The Impact of Inclement Weather on Your jobsite; Alternative Lifting Methods: Not Just Cranes Anymore; Sign of the Times: Is Your Signal Person Qualified: and S.T.A.R.T a Safety Culture.
Alongside this, the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) will hold a session on how companies can become more involved in testing developed by NCCCO, entitled From Soup to Nuts: The How To of CCO Testing.
There will also be meetings of the SC&RA’s Crane and Rigging Group’s Safety, Education and Training Committee, Labor Committee and Governing Committee.
The three-day event will conclude with a tour of Manitowoc’s crane facility in Wisconsin, including a tour of the crawler crane factory, a special presentation of the new Model 31000 crawler and a demonstration of Manitowoc’s new CraneSTAR asset management tool.
