The so-called RiteSpec Fuel Saver systems use a variable displacement pump with a Hatz Silent Pack engine to ensure that flow matches the engine’s power curve. The engine power requirements for a variable-flow pump can be up to 30% less than a fixed-flow system, according to PCM.
