Manitowoc has made two new appointments to its senior management team in Australia and New Zealand to spearhead an expansion of the company’s crane operations in the region.

Kelvin Kent will take on the general manager role for Australia and New Zealand, with support from new sales and marketing manager for Australia, Neil Hollingshead, to develop the sales what is a fast-growing market for Manitowoc.

Kent’s role will involve guiding expansion across three departments: sales, administration and Manitowoc Crane Care.

He comes to the role with 30 years of experience in construction equipment companies, with major brands like JCB, Atlas Copco, Eagle Equipment, Compair, and the former Grove dealer Banbury Engineering.

Now reporting to Kent, Hollingshead began working at Manitowoc as an apprentice technician before progressing to various marketing and project management roles, including his most recent position as global product director for all-terrain and rough-terrain cranes.

John Stewart, senior vice president of sales and marketing, greater Asia-Pacific region, explained the decision.

“Kelvin is very dedicated to the Australia-New Zealand market, and Neil is committed to further developing the sales team in the region. Coupled with the support of the entire Manitowoc Cranes organization, Manitowoc will only continue to add value to our customers’ experiences in the region.”
