Among the access equipment products being shown by Snorkel is the prototype of the Snorkelift ATB 33 and ATB 38 boom lifts, which have an 11.9m and a 13.4m working height respectively. Both are electric powered and are just 1.5m wide to aid manœuvrability. The ATB 50, with a 17.1m working height and seen at the ICUEE show in Kentucky last year, is also presented.

Upright International is staging its largest ever Bauma presence this year, including the European premiere of its first telescopic boom lift, the SB 60, which has a working height of 18.3m. The SB 60 was first seen at the American Rental Association show in Orlando, Florida, just last month.

Among several machines new to the European market are the AB 38 microboom and the AB 46 bi-energy and rough-terrain boom lift, which has a 16m working height.

As well as having its own stand, where it is showing various hoists and work platforms, Alimak is demonstrating its TC-2 tower crane lift installed on a Potain crane at Potain’s exhibition area.

Alongside its access platforms, Aichi is also showing the FR 300 mini crawler crane which is now being launched into Europe.

The FR 300 has a maximum lifting height of 9.2m, a maximum lifting capacity of 2.95t, and can operate with stability through 360o. European importer SSM International has already sold three FR 300s in Germany.

Helmut Kempkes has developed the Kuli-Liftboy small work platform with a safe working height of 5m.
