The 6ABSD 85/3 can be extended from an initial length of 17,400mm up to 45,900mm. The 2,750mm wide lower deck can be extended with outriggers to 3,250mm. The semi-trailer has a loading height of 1,080mm. The fifth wheel can carry a load of up to 30,000kg and the bogie is rated to carry 67,200kg at 80kph.
It is equipped with hydraulic axle compensation, with a 300mm stroke electrical raise and lower facility. Each axle can be lifted independently, and all axles are steered hydraulically with an electrical override facility, which can be operated using a remote control system. The lower deck is fitted with stake pockets, rows of pockets across its width and 5t SWL lashing rings.
