The new cranes market amounted to about USD 10bn last year, with the big four netting more than USD 9bn, according to full year 2006 sales figures. Sales grew on average 34% compared with 2005. Although some firms’ figures for 2006 have been available for months, Liebherr only released its annual report in late August.
