Goldhofer has incorporated market requests in its design of the Mega PST to improve the tare weight versus capacity ratio. By increasing gross capacity to 50 tons per line Goldhofer claims a substantial cost reduction in transporting. Despite the fact that this axle load is unique in the market, the Goldhofer experts claim a sufficient safety factor in the design that even allows for short extreme peak loads, unavoidable in day-to-day heavy haul operations.
