The system was designed to control and monitor machine function as well as offering the option of load moment indication. The versatility of the system allows it to be installed on virtually any machine, the manufacturer says. This scalable approach allows it to be used applications ranging from monitoring standard control functions to complicated customised control solutions, while fulfilling new standards like EN 13849-1.

Also on display are a new line of graphic operator consoles, which can be used with a control system or with Hirschmann’s safe load indicators (SLI). They are available in various display sizes and resolution, different communication options including CANbus, Ethernet, USB, and video (FBAS) interfaces. They have several different operator interfaces including, keys, rotary dials, or touch screens. Hirschmann will also display its line of sensors for OEM and retrofit applications, including geometric sensors for length-angle, force and pressure sensors like load pins, force and pressure transducers or compression load cells, all available with analog or CANopen interface, including CANopen safety protocol.
