Heavy load haulier Kübler has completed its heaviest ever load transport project. A 225t generator was taken taken a total of 500km from Rotterdam, Netherlands to Mannheim, Germany. Most of the journey was by water but the final 25km was on a 366t capacity Scheuerle Inter Combi platform trailer.
A total weight of 305t meant that the load had to be taken on a route that avoided bridges. Two tractor units moved the load along a route that included specially widened roads, a 6% gradient and crossing a railway track where the catenary had to be raised to clear the 6m high load.
