Kobelco SL6000

The SL6000 has a maximum lifting capacity of 550t. The maximum configuration of this crane with SHL is 84m main boom with 84m luffing jib, resulting in a 170m total boom length.

Also, Kobelco is marketing its BME800HD as a ‘two cranes in one’ system. The crane can be used as an 80 tonner with full counterweight, or as a 70 tonner that is easier to transport. This configuration does not include two carbody weights of 3.34 tonnes each.

The CKE600, a 60t multi-purpose crawler crane, can be equipped with optional tractor-type crawlers. This crane can also be used or hired out as a either a 60-tonner with full counterweight or as a 45-tonner with reduced counterweight and lifting table, when the rear counterweight of 6.2 tonnes is left off.

The CKE1800, another multi-purpose crawler in the 180t class, is the successor to Kobelco’s famous 7150, according to the manufacturer the ‘best-selling crane in the 150t–170t class’.

The UK rental company Weldex ordered two units of the SL6000 with full spec SHL, 84m main boom and 84m luffing jib.The SL6000 is equipped with a 320kW engine. Maximum engine power in the CKE1800 and BME800HD is 247kW. The CKE600 is equipped with an engine supplying 159kW. Engine speed, hydraulic flow and pressure demands are coordinated by the computer-controlled Engine Speed Sensing (ESS) system.
