The heavy lifting is being carried out by a 750t-capacity Manitowoc Model 18000 with Max-er attachment. The crane arrived on site at the end of 2005 and will remain there until project completion, which is scheduled for 2009. The crane is owned by Demont, a contractor that specialises in industrial installations. Demont is working in conjunction with Ansaldo Caldaie and Babcock-Hitachi.

In addition to the Manitowoc crawler, Demont purchased three Potain tower cranes for the project – two luffing MR 605s and a saddle jib MD 485.
