Made of high-strength steel, the Combi series of vehicles can be coupled both lengthwise and sideways, and be moved as trailers or semi-trailers at speeds up to 80 km/hr (50mph). When coupled together, they can handle loads of more than 1,000 tons.
The central element of the modular platform trailer is the hydraulically supported pendulum axle. This allows a large steering angle of up to 60 degrees which, in connection with optimized steering geometry on the basis of a dual-circuit displacement steering system, ensures that the Combi series has exceptional manoeuvrability in tight spaces. The large hydraulic axle compensation and automatic load levelling guarantee a simple loading process and safe use even on difficult road surface conditions. Not only can individual platform trailers be combined, but also individual bogies can be assembled with different types of loading decks and drawbars or goosenecks.
