Exhibition space has increased by 40% compared to 2006, according to the organisers, with 130,000 sq m outdoors and 80,000 sq m inside. There were 80,000 visitors in 2006.

According to China´s National Statistical Office, building sector investment activity helped drive the strong development of China´s economy in the first six months of 2008. In this period, investment in construction reached a volume of EUR210bn, which is 25% higher than the same period in 2007. Around 18 percent of GDP went into construction, a proportion that is twice as high as, for example, in Germany.??
