The compact, four-axle, SK498-AT4(pictured right) features a three piece boom, capable of being extended to 44m, four metres longer than its predecessor, the SK488-AT4. The SK498-AT4 has a 15.97m long, 2.75m wide chassis, making it the same width and only 28cm longer than the previous model. The SK498-AT4 features ABS braking, for safer road handling, in line with all three- and four-axle Spierings cranes. With outriggers fully extended to 6.85m the crane can lift its maximum load of 8t at a radius of 12.85m and a hook height of 25.3m. At the tip of its 44m jib the crane can lift 1.9t.
