Terex Changjiang LT 1050

Terex will show the new Demag AC 100/4 (see Cranes Today January, pp24-6). Terex says that this crane is the strongest 100t crane on four axles, when employing maximum counterweight, and that it breaks the record for the highest lifting capacity with a fully telescoped main boom and main boom extension. The manufacturer says it is the first and only crane in its class with a vehicle width of only 2.55m, even with large tyres, and that it is the only 100t crane with the dimensions of a 70t four-axle crane.

The new rough terrain Bendini RC60 has a lifting capacity of 60t. It features a new boom with five telescopic segments and a total length of 40m. The Cummins engine delivers 164kW at 2200rpm.

The new PPM TC 40 L truck crane is being delivered from France to Munich. Simple handling and an optimal combination of performance with low operating costs distinguish this three-axle truck crane. At its core lies a 240 kw MAN engine, delivering a top speed of 90kph (56 mph). It has a 37.5m long basic boom plus jib with a maximum tip height of 47m.

Terex Changjiang’s four-axle LT 1050 has a 41m five-segment boom, to lift up to 60t. Its turning radius is only 12m.

The most recent model in Terex Atlas’s wallboard crane segment, the TLC 325.2 VWB, comes equipped with special features. Its solid, welded crane column has a hydraulic support width of about 6.1m. The dual swing gear is guaranteed to achieve high swing momentum while permitting consistently precise guidance.

Thanks to the upright construction of the lift cylinders, it is possible to load the machine very close to the column. No crane parts will interfere while the machine is in a transport position above the load, since the offset cylinder has been inserted into the lifting arm.

In 2005 alone, more than 3,300 Terex cranes were built at ten different production sites and delivered to customers. The group has a total revenue of $1.3bn and employs more than 4,500 people.
