The development is owned and jointly developed by the MTR Corporation and Sun Hung Kai Properties. When completed in 2010 it will reach 118 storeys and 484m in height, making it Hong Kong’s tallest skyscraper and among the world’s top five.
It was designed by the American architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates in association with Wong & Ouyang (HK).
For the concrete core of the building, contractor Sun Fai Construction is using two luffing jib Favelle Favco M440 tower cranes with Krøll electric winches. The cranes were supplied by local dealer Proficiency Net.
For the later stages subcontractor Hip Hing, in joint venture with a Chinese contractor, has been awarded the contract for steel erection. For this, they have directly imported two diesel powered Favco M440 luffers.
