The SCM-C7022 was set up with a 70m jib, 850m hosting rope and mast section. The working height of the crane was 245m. SCM-P300 topless tower crane’s configuration featured a 74m jib, 1000m hoisting rope and the working height was 241.46m. The manufacturer said that the combination of topless and hammerhead tower cranes reduced construction interference, solving the difficulty of synchronous construction of two towers.

The working radius of the two tower cranes was over 70m and the biggest object that they lifted weighed 15t. The main tasks the cranes was required to do was to hoist and pour. High winds were a major challenge during the project.

The two tower cranes began working in November 2009, mainly lifting concrete, steel structure and reinforced steel. The South and North towers used around 35,000CBM of concrete and 5,600t steel in total.

The bridge built by the Second Harbor Engineering Company LTD of China communication Construction Company began in 2009 and at 1418m is the longest span twin-tower suspension bridge in China.
