Kehl, Germany
Germany construction firm Ralf Teichman used four Manitowoc Grove all terrains from MSG Krandienst – a GMK6400, a GMK6300L and two GMK5220s – to help disassemble load and transport a 250t gantry crane from Kehl to Basel, Switzerland. The job took three days to complete.

Pretul, Austria
Prangl used one of the world’s largest all terrains, a Terex AC1000, to erect 14 wind turbines on the 1,600m high ridge of the Pretul mountain. Two of the passes were so narrow the crane could only drive through in reverse. On the steep roads, a separate tractor unit was used to back up the all terrain’s carrier.

Ferrol, Spain
ALE has started work on a project to transport and load out of 29 jackets being built for the Wikinger offshore wind farm project, currently being fabricated at Navantia’s yard in Spain. ALE is using SPMTs and a 1,600t capacity Terex CC 8800 crawler for the job, which commenced in January and is expected to be completed in September.

Paris, France
Montagrues used a Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 to position the main 8t, 12m diameter, golden dome on a new Russian Orthodox church being built in Paris. The six-axle crane with Y-guying system needed to be set up and work in narrow, tree-lined streets, lifting the dome 30m. After a night time practice lift, the job was performed smoothly in front of a crowd of dignitaries.
