Heavy-duty jib on Grove

Australian rental company Metcalf Crane Services have used the integrated heavy-duty jib, known locally as a ‘machinery runner’, on a 250t Grove GMK5250L to handle the delicate unloading and installation of wall panels for a new rail corridor project in Seaford, Victoria.

Testing complete on synthetic rope

Liebherr has completed testing on the new soLITE synthetic rope it is developing with Teufelberger for its tower cranes. The process saw more than 70,000m of rope tested over 55,000 hours, on test benches and in the field. The rope will be used on a new tower crane, launching at Bauma in April.

Terex team at Ferenc Puskás Stadium

A fleet of Terex tower cranes, from local Hungarian crane rental company TDH Toronydaru Kft., supported by a Demag CC 6800-1 from Sarens, are working on the Ferenc Puskás Stadium in Budapest.
