A 12th century chapel in the Slovakian town of Kos had been scheduled for demolition until 12th century frescoes were discovered under whitewash and plaster. The chapel was separated from a church, and its foundation walls were excavated and underpinned with 1.5m thick foundations. The whole structure, weighing 420t and measuring 10m by 10m and 17m high, was then jacked 1.5m using hydraulic cylinders to allow 28 axle-lines of Scheuerle self-propelled modular trailers (SPMTs) to drive under it. It was then transported 6km to the centre of Kos where it is to be restored. The transportation work was carried out by Riga Eisele in cooperation with Fagioli.
