First is the MC2M CANbus controller, with analogue, digital and RPM inputs, and on/off and PWM outputs, and configurable software. It is based on Freescale microprocessors that are C-language programmeable. All I/O connections are through a single automotive Tyco 120 pin connector, separate from a Deutsch 4 pin dedicated to power supply.

Second is the 3B6 View display unit, which can act as the main computer ‘brain’, or as a single display. The display can be in colour or black and white, and mounted in a dashboard or in a separate unit. It has a resolution of 320×240 pixels. The unit also has a Bluetooth wireless interface, a slot for SD cards, and a wireless CANbus connector is an option.

Third is an electronic bypass switch for the new mobile crane overload limit switch override. The device is located outside the cabin and restarts the machine for a pre-set time in case of a load limiter or load moment indicator failure. The Safe Key includes electronic outputs for a buzzer, alarm light, black box data logger, and crane speed reduction to 25% of normal.
