The new crane will have to have a reach of 37′ with a SWL of at least 5T over the entire reach. There is to be a second crane fitted mid ship. This is to have a reach of 10m and a SWL of 3T over the entire reach. Both cranes are to fully comply with all current legislation and classification requirements. The successful contractor may be called upon to provide some aspects of the design and installation services. The new cranes would be required to be supplied to RFA Gold Rover by the end of March 2008, for installation at a subsequent refit period.
