Italian crane company Pergamo Sollevamenti has added a Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 to their crane fleet, making it the company's strongest crane with a lifting capacity of 700 tonnes. The new crane offers a long telescopic boom of up to 80 metres and VarioBallast, which allows for infinite variation of the ballast radius. In addition, the company purchased a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 in 2020, which has already been used for repairs to an 80-metre-high wind turbine in the Italian region of Molise. The versatility and long boom length of the Liebherr cranes were impressive, and the company values the VarioBase feature for flexible support, increasing safety and lifting capacity.
