ALE removed and replaced the filters through the top floor roof of the 76m building. Over a four day period, ALE used a Terex CC2800-1 to extract two 83t ceramic filters, each 14m long. The CC2800-1 worked with a 120t tailing crane to tilt the filters for transport on SPMTs. The cranes then repeated the process in reverse to install replacement filters.

The ALE CC-2800-1 crane was assembled at a 39m radius with 66m main boom, a 60m luffing jib and a 30m superlift boom. A 150t counterweight was configured on the ballast tray.

The plant uses the filters to refine coal gas created by combusting 2,600t of coal and coke mixture per day. When the plant resumes production it will produce approximately 300 MWe of electricity per year.
