Knecht is currently on holiday and has been released from his duties, said Terex Cranes marketing director Christian Schorr-Golsong.

But he added that Knecht left of his own initiative to take a position in another company, and was not pushed out by the company. He said he did not know where Knecht is going.

His replacement is Doug Friesen, formerly vice president, Terex Cranes North America, who will emigrate to Zweibruecken, Germany with his family. His new title has yet to be confirmed. The company is now looking for a new vice president of Terex Cranes North America, Schorr-Golsong said.

When contacted by Cranes Today, Knecht declined to make a statement – or reveal where he is going.
