The 23.5t capacity boom truck was equipped with a platform extending from the truck bed that was used as the launch pad for base jumpers jumping from the 876ft-high bridge. The boom was used to support a manbasket over the gorge, which was used by photographers and videographers recording the event.
It is the third time ALL has supplied a boom truck for the event since 2003. Thousands of spectators gathered to watch 360 jumpers vault off the bridge.
“We are excited to have participated once again in what is known as ‘the state’s biggest party’,” said Chad Shamblin, general manager of ALL Crane and Equipment Rental. “We do our part to make sure the jumpers and photographers have the safest possible conditions.”
