The seven-axle GMK7550 is Grove’s largest mobile hydraulic all terrain crane, with a rated lifting capacity of 550 USt (450t). The 200ft (60m) five-section boom is pinned, and has 32 extension configurations. An optional 240ft. (73m) maximum luffing jib allows up to 430 ft. (131 m) overall tip height with approximately 300 ft. (91 m) of working radius. The lattice design luffing jib converts to a fixed offset lattice jib with lengths up to 230 ft. (70 m), offsettable at 3 degrees and 25 degrees.

“The purchase of these versatile GMK7550s demonstrates our commitment to continuous upgrading of our fleet,” says Michael Liptak, ALL Erection & Crane Rental president. “The GMK7550 offers great mobility for both on- and off-road construction and industrial projects such as bridges and highways, power plants, and erecting and disassembling tower cranes.”

The Grove electronic crane operating system (ECOS) automatically controls boom functions and also works with the EKS5 LMI system to provide the operator with a constant update of all crane conditions via CAN-BUS technology. The GMK7550 features a 255 HP Mercedes OM906LA diesel, water-cooled, superstructure engine and a 563 HP Mercedes diesel, water-cooled, turbocharged carrier engine.
