The association said that in order to assist owners and users of lorry loaders in raising awareness or refreshing their own understanding of the topic it had made several tools available. This includes a free toolbox talk template a print-ready version can be downloaded from the ALLMI website, www.allmi.com.
Another tool available are the ALLMI Pre-Use Checks videos from the ALLMI training DVD "The Safe Use of Lorry Loaders". There are three versions of this available covering the most common lorry loader applications such as hook, builders’ merchants and utilities. These videos can be uploaded to a company’s website or intranet. The videos can also be viewed via the "ALLMI TV" area of the association’s website.
ALLMI’s has released Pre-Use Checks inspection pads. These duplicate pads contain 30 days of report sheets and are based on the Pre-Use Checks template used as part of the ALLMI operator course.
