THE Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers & Importers, the UK trade association for truck loader crane supply, has launched ALLMI Training Ltd.
The aim is to introduce an accredited training programme to help improve safety and operational performance in the UK truck loader crane industry.
A national database will be set up of registered operators and instructors and identity cards will be issued to those who have completed ALLMI’s training course. Accredited trainers will use ALLMI Training’s course syllabus, teaching plans and operator manuals.
ALLMI Training is headed by training manager Ian Berrill who said: ‘With the introduction of new standards and legislation, and the increasing use of lorry loaders in new and different applications, the importance of good safety practice has never been greater.’
