Dutch-based American Crane International, in co-operation with its Belgian engineering facility at Indusign, has completed the erection of an equilibrium crane for Danish steel manufacturer Det Danske Stålvalseværk at Frederiksværk.
The turnkey contract included the design and construction of the custom-made rail gantry mounted E-crane as well as its electric-hydraulically powered rail gantry.
The crane is capable of handling 300t per hour and designed to operate 7,000 hours a year, unloading scrap for the steel mill.
