Anthony Crane Rental, the USA’s largest crane hire company, has reported revenues of $110.3m for the first six months of 1999, up from $99.5m in the first half of 1998.

Rental revenues, which excludes equipment sales, increased to $99.8m from $90.2m.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose from $30.2m to $31.6m for the period. But with the July 1998 refinancing of the company still working its way through the books, Anthony reported a net loss of $3.5m and long-term debt stands at $465m.

Thanks to recent acquisitions (Carlisle and Dunn join Anthony Aug99, p3), Anthony can expect full year revenues of around $270m for 1999 and look to push towards $350m in 2000.
