Maxim Kurylyak, is the director of Simeyniy mayetok PBC’s paint plant. He will be the director of the new joint venture. He told Cranes Today, “Arcomet Ukraine will be a 50:50 venture between Arcomet in Belgian and PC Simeyniy mayetok PBC in Ukraine. The Ukrainian business is a construction company, with three or four cranes that it uses for itself.

“The new joint venture will be a rental business. It will start with five cranes, from a range of manufacturers, working in western Ukraine. We aim to expand to 15 cranes within a year, and to work across the rest of the country.” The new joint venture will sell, erect, transport, dismantle, rent and service cranes. The deal was announced by Arcomet at the end of October; lawyers from both companies are currently working on the details of the new business.

The company will focus on the Ukrainian market. Its first depot will be in Lviv, in the west of Ukraine, but Kurylyak says, “We have plans for the whole Ukraine.”
