Proposals are requested, to provide installation engineering and to supply one new electro-hydraulic crane for the vessel CCGS Alfred Needler. In addition to the crane and associated equipment the successful contractor is to supply specifications, supporting calculations and Transport Canada
Marine Safety approved drawings detailing all removals, relocations and installations required for the shipboard installation of the new crane.
The articulated crane shall have a minimum lifting capacity of 19 to 20 tonne metres with a Safe Working Load of 2.2 to 2.4 tonnes at a reach of 8.0 to 8.5 metres. The requirement is more detailed in Specification 06-A018-028-4.
