Sydney-based Pace Cranes, the sole distributor of the Japanese Maeda crane range in Australia, supplied the crane. Pace has supplied more than 300 Maeda mini crawler cranes in total to the Australian market.
Preston Group established a mini crane hire division in 2006 to supplement its existing range of materials handling solutions. David Serg, Preston Group general manager, said, “It was our intention to become the leading hirer of mini cranes across Australia and have successfully achieved that goal, with depots in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, and we are on target to cover South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory by mid 2009. Pace has been instrumental in meeting our rapid purchase program and will continue to support us during our next growth phase”.
