Manitowoc has moved to a new office and workshop for its Australian operations, located just outside Sydney. The facility provides more space and updated equipment to increase support for local customers.
Now spanning an impressive 20,000 m² — up from 7,400 m² — the new facility provides increased office, workshop, and parts storage space, to enhance service and repair capabilities. The facility also offers EnCORE™ crane refurbishment services, a training center, sales offices, and large hardstand yard space.
“Our new facility will allow us to better serve customers by improving service and repair capabilities, increasing parts availability, and offering more efficient training and testing spaces,” said John Stewart, general manager, Manitowoc. “We’re excited to see our aftersales team grow as we expand our capacity to support both new and used equipment, making it easier for our customers to receive high-quality service for all their equipment needs.”
Designed with future growth in mind, the new facility provides ample room for workforce expansion and operational enhancements. By year-end, the team is expected to grow, with additional personnel supporting service, parts, and training operations.
“This expansion is critical to supporting our growth targets in the aftersales side of the business,” said Paul Churchill, director of aftersales, Manitowoc. “We are positioning ourselves to meet growing market demands with more products and better service offerings, making it easier for our customers to maintain and repair their cranes efficiently.” Manitowoc’s long-term strategy will continue to focus on broadening its product range, boosting efficiency, and creating new opportunities for regional customers.
