US LOADER crane manufacturer Auto Crane claims that the functions of its new 5.2tm (38,000 lbft) class 6406H telescoping crane have ‘never before been seen in the medium crane market’.
Among these is a two-speed rotation feature, which the manufacturer says doubles the rotation speed of the crane while unloaded, and reduces the rotation speed under load to eliminate load swing and facilitate safe operation.
The 6406H also comes standard with a control mechanism allowing the operator to choose between an FM remote control or the more traditional pendant control. Both configurations offer full proportional crane control and troubleshooting capabilities. Also standard is an hydraulic extension out to 6m (20ft), and the line speed has been increased to 16.7m/min (55ft/min).
