Taking centre stage will be the new 22SP, which incorporates all the technological innovations developed by PM over the past four years.

The 22SP is now available with up to six telescopic hydraulic extensions, maximum horizontal outreach of 17.35m and loading capacity of 700kg.

Its main features are its small dimensions. It is only 229cm heigh and is the lightest in its loading capacity category – only 2,690kg in the six extension version.

These characteristics enable the 22SP to be installed on two axle trucks. The 22SP is also equipped with double connecting rods on the two articulations, which allows the operator added control of crane movements and also added precision when positioning loads.

First in the PM product range, the 22SP is capable of a 12 degree negative angle of the main boom that facilitates to control the boom bending. This characteristic is also useful when the operator has to unload through openings at ground level.

The 22SP is equipped with the PM Power Tronic electronic control system, which, according to PM, is the “brain” of the crane. This device controls every piece of information supplied by single sensors and provides the operator, through user friendly graphic interface symbols, the precise state of the machinery both on the control unit, positioned on the crane, and on the remote radio control.

PM Power Tronic is developed for ensuring that the operator will not ever find difficulties during loading and unloading activities even in overloading crane statements.

In fact, said PM, contrary to only hydraulic machineries, cranes equipped with PM Power Tronic are able to perform, in case of overloading, many different movements.

PM Power Tronic is useful in routine maintenance because it works like a black box recording every activity carried out by the crane. The 22SP is equipped with an MCS stabilising control system that is made of a bilateral membrane push button control panel.

This device maximises safety during the stabilising process because the operator can operate only outrigger booms on his side and not ones on the other side avoiding accidents due to the impossibility of watching if someone is passing near the outrigger boom in that moment.

MCS allows the operator to stabilise the truck at distance using the remote radio control. The 22SP is naturally equipped with hydraulic proportional valve block (Danfoss ), remote radio control (Scanreco or Hetronic), oil cooler (that is integrated in the oil tank for a quicker cooling of the oil), extension sequence of the booms, hydraulic tilting outriggers and hydraulic outrigger booms.

The 22SP can be equipped with Rotzler electronic winch that is controlled by the operator trough the PM Power Tronic, so it performs the maximum loading capacity in any crane booms configuration.

The 22SP can be equipped also with 20 degree negative angle jibs which perform the maximum loading capacity in every crane configuration and provide the maximum control even in maximum extension.

Other interesting exhibits will be the highest loading capacity crane range showed on a podium structure which will emphasize models characteristics and novelties, as the new position of the oil cooler (PM patent), integrated behind the column to protect it from damages during truck movements.

Furthermore, these series can be equipped with 20 degree negative angle jibs, which facilitate the unloading through openings at ground level. Other innovations are the 250 litre shaped tank which does not increase crane total installation space and avoid the lack of space due to the installation of other tanks under the truck.
