Böcker is introducing a new aluminium truck crane, the AK 42/4000 PLC. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 4t and a maximum working radius of 35m. Its PTO auxiliary drive is powerful enough that smooth extension and retraction of the mast is, “easily possible in any situation,” Böcker says, even with the 4t maximum payload.

The AK 42/4000 PLC has a 42m maximum boom length that can be extended to 44m with an optional mechanical extension. This is attached by two bolts on the hydraulically adjustable jib. An ahy-version with a hydraulically extendable jib is also available.

According to the manufacturer, when used as a mobile access platform, the AK 42/4000 PLC can also be equipped with a mobile work basket without any problems. Assembly takes a few minutes and doesn’t require manual retraction of the load cable, Böcker says. The work basket, with a maximum payload of 250kg, provides sufficient space for two people.

At Bauma, Böcker will also present its new solar-module fork that can be used with the company’s aluminium cranes. The solar-cell module transport system had been developed previously for other Böcker products, but this is the first crane application.

The fork has rubber rests for protection and transports up to seven modules at the one time to the roof. Cranes easily reach the rear side of the roof and their ‘sensitive’ radio-remote control can make an exact delivery to the point of assembly on the roof, Böcker says.
